About AWSA

We started in 2019 as a small blog about home gyms. Today AWSA is a practical training resource and coaching team for people who prefer to work out at home.

Our story

Fitness that fits into real life

AWSA began with a simple question many people ask: is a home gym actually worth it? Our first articles – on the pros and cons of owning a home gym and the 10 essential items to have – were written for friends who were tired of crowded gyms and long commutes.

Since then we have expanded into complete training plans, equipment buying guides, nutrition and recovery advice, free calculators and 1-on-1 coaching. The goal has never changed: help you train safely and consistently with the space, time and budget you really have.

We don’t sell equipment and we don’t earn commissions on products we mention, so our recommendations stay honest.

What we believe

Our training principles

  • Progress over perfection

Small, measurable improvements every week beat a perfect plan you can’t sustain.

  • Safety first

Good technique, sensible loads, safety arms in the rack and a warm-up every time.

  • Spend wisely

Versatile equipment first; upgrade only when it unlocks real progress.

  • Evidence-informed

We follow well-established training and nutrition principles and avoid hype and quick fixes.

  • For every body

Plans are scaled to your experience, age and any limitations you share with us.

  • Honest & independent

No sponsored reviews, no affiliate links, no tracking pixels.
